I heard Williams wide left, otherwise you've got it. 😎

I am only going off of what the RSL front office told me... no smartness of my own. But if you have inside info that is better than what I got great.

I have to admit... it would make sense to have Williams on the other side. Otherwise you have one side of the field that is loaded (offensively) and one side that is just adequate.

Great discussion guys. I am really hoping that this new formation works out. I would love for Kreis to emerge as a great distributor. I know we have pumped him for his scoring (he is Mr. Goal) but he has played mid a lot in Dallas over the years.

Also, I like to welcome Thow to our boards. I know who you are!!!
🙂

👍

Maybe the idea of Kreis in midfield is that, being a forward, he will be more likely looking and moving forward, which is something that just hasn't been happening. I'm thinking that may be just what we need. :D Heaven knows we need something! 🙄

Mathis and Kreis are both better hanging back and making runs, so I don't think it really makes that much of a difference. I like the idea of having a target forward since we seem to be in love with the long pass anyway.

Ellinger did mention in his 1280 interview last week that he is very disappointed with the performance of his star powers - especially in the midfield. Wouldn't confirm any names (mostly Williams and somewhat Mathis). Maybe he is going to try out Williams in this new role before being forced to relegate him to the bench.

Williams is seen as a commodity.
If he cannot start, we need to trade him. ASAP.

He was left unprotected for the expansion draft. I don't think we can get much for him. 🙁

I think the front office counts as inside information 🙂 The Des. News said Williams will be on the left, but you absolutly nailed down the other X.

As much as he's been maligned by everyone on MB's, talk radio, etc., I don't think Andy's been terrible. If you ever want to explain to somebody how a Caribbean player performs, go show them tape of Williams. He's just not going to bust his balls to make a defensive play that he knows he can't get to. Some call that laziness, and maybe it is, but that's just the mentality of a Caribbean player--they don't aimlessly run around. He was largely absent from the first 6-or-7 games, but he's shown some signs of life since then. People don't mention that he's been battling a groin injury through much of the early season, which I think is significant.

Soccer Prime: Thanks for the welcome! Just another poster interested in RSL. 😎 (I'd say that I know who you are, but that's pretty much common knowledge on these boards!)
