What good is it doing us to bring him in when we are in a deep hole? If he get's tired then sub him out. We know he can play a half? He plays 90 mins in the reserve games!

Worst case senario: we sub him out with a fresh-legged veteran. We need the spark early.

How many have we won with Jamie coming off the bench (MLS regulation)?

I love Jaime's energy and passion, but he hasn't done anything except against a reserve squad in a friendly. Cila has proven he can play at this level. I say bring Jaime on in the second half to either help kill the game, or to provide a spark if needed.

Well!!!!
Unlike at the watch party.... I am now bloody speechless!

something needs to give!

we shall see if Mathis on the bench on Wednesday has any effect on the scoring. It can't get much worse.

I don't think it will help. Washington won a few balls tonight, but there was nobody there for him to nod the ball down to. We have to be the laziest team I have ever seen?

👍

I'll go on record as saying that I don't really think they're lazy. It's just an attitude problem. They're mentally defeated before they even get out on the field. In other words, their in a slump.

We've seen moments of brilliance from all of them. We know they are capable of greatness. And I believe they know it, too. But they're in a slump. They come on the field defeated and when the other team scores (which is inevitable with that attitude prevailing) they get even lower. It's like they don't think it's worth trying.

I think they just need to get our spirited guys in there, Jamie, Tiger, Seth and Luke, right at the beginning. If they can't go the distance, the others would be coming in with momentum going their way. They would come in at their best, not their worst (which is what we usually see).

Any way, that's my plan. And what can it hurt? Can we do any worse than we have been? I don't think so. And even if we lost by 7-0, it's still 0 points for us and 3 points for them, so I say, "Go for the gusto!"

I just saw this from DeRosario.

"They (Salt Lake) were lost and didn't seem interested and we were. It showed."

Ouch!
