Thank you. I will tell her. I'm glad you like the name.

I like the number 8 too, because it's Steve Young's number, even though I'm a Ute fan.

Been there too.

Congrats!

And great choice of names.

I can handle the sight of blood but not a toasty warm operating room, no sleep and inadequate amounts of caffeine.

So I took a short nap on the floor when my son Ian was born via C Section.......

Hm, Ian and Gordon? We've got the Loyalist Scots Guards.

Congratulations, Mom and Dad.

We can barely handle 2 so I can't even guess at how you manage.

I didn't realize this, but Gordon B. Hinckley's birthday is June 23. So the name Gordon has even more signifigance to me than it did before. I also like the fact that it's a Scottish name, as you mention. That didn't occur to me either.

By the way. I have made babysitting arrangements so that I will be able to attend tomorrow's game and tail gate party. Wife and baby will still be in the hospital.

Yeah, my husband watched all that very coolly and then didn't want to tell me about it for days because he thought I'd be so freaked out by what had happened. I can barely look at a papercut without getting woozy, so I'm happy to just get numbed up and then try not to think about what's happening. They offered me a mirror with my first c-section and I couldn't yell "NOOOO!" fast enough.

edit1: I forgot to tell Dadof8 congrats! So...congrats!

As a history geek I was going to applaud your choice of Roger Williams, but since he is actually your ancestor it is a little less impresive. 🙄

Congratulations on the birth of a healthy child.
