The Loyalists seriously need to get a backbone. If your going to do something or say something that might be of controversy then you should have the balls to stand up for what you believe.

This from someone who slinks in and then says it's probably my last post?! Backbone?! Balls?! âš½ âš½

I threw a bunch of black streamers and was one of the most vocal supporters of the idea. I sure as HE!! haven't had to justify why I did it or thought it was a clever idea. Those who get it, GET IT! Those who don't, don't! I give my opinions and stand by them but don't disrespect the opinions of others.

I hope no one that posts on here was foolish enough to think there would never be eavesdroppers in the forum. It's a public forum, I know damn well anyone in the FO, the media, CRappids fans, etc... could read my posts at any point.

Not enraged at all, good on ya for voicing your opinion and as you said "stand up for what you believe" so I expect you to come back and post/visit!

Oh, don't let it be your last. I think Pual McCartney said it best. "In times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be."

We can all be friends and we can all cheer together just fine. Take into consideration the Rogue Cavaliers and the RSL Jesters. Together we are showing MLS what its all about.

<sarcastic rant>
I believe that I speak for everyone here when I say that had I known a year ago that the post game call-in show on 1280 am wasn't going to go exactly the way I wanted it to I would have told MLS to keep looking for a spot to put a team becuase I wouldn't be interested in having one here in SLC.
</sarcastic rant>

But seriously
THANK YOU to Mr. Checketts
and
THANK YOU to 1280 The Zone

That's right, we have 3 supporters groups, I can't wait until each group is big enough we have to have three adjacent sections to hold us all.

Rep to the cup.

I never said anything negative about Spencer in the other thread and I was glad to hear I wasn't the only one who thought the black streamers were "quirky." I'm still proud of my decision to leave my front row seat in E32 and not participate in that. So no, I'm not being hypocritical to voice my support for Spencer here. I don't know him (Hi, Spence, nice to meet you.) and he doesn't know me but I do want to express my support for the F.O. and the team. Just like I stick up 100% for Cletus in the "Must be Cletus' fault" threads.

Seriously, keep in mind that there is a vocal minority in any forum that speaks out while others stay silent. If you check who posted there and who posts here, you'll find that the butt-kissers are not the same people as the criticizers, in general.

Oh, and if we're good at anything in this forum, it's blowing small comments out of proportion. It's our specialty, so thanks "Seriously" for giving us a little more fodder! :D

And yeah, I'll carry luggage for the team, too. I just love to be involved with this fledgling team and Utah soccer.

I think that is an excellent question. I watch a fair bit of international soccer and listen to a bit of commentary (I enjoy listening to these guys if you are interested in listening to more about the international game http://www.nickandsteven.com/). For me I would prefer to hear more of the international soccer language. I have listened to what I can catch of the post game after I get to my car and it seems like the audience probably isn't quite ready for full on international soccer lingo. I think that the goal should be to help educate the audience slowly and work up to the ideal of an informed post game show. As hosts I think you guys can figure out how fast to move toward a more informed post game (by informed I mean full on international soccer language and deeper analysis). I also think that is the responsibility of those of us who are informed to call in and give you a bit of fodder for a more informed discussion. I presume it is pretty hard for you guys as hosts to steer the conversation toward a solid post game analysis if all you get is calls about how hot DJ is... I haven't called in to do my part to help improve the show, so I feel I can't complain about how it has gone so far. I guess I will have to start doing my part. Thanks for doing the postgame and also being willing to ask for feedback.

Thanks for stopping by Spencer and helping right the ship that was getting out of control by sailing along unchecked. It can be easy to just get on the boards and vent with the mob without really thinking about how stinging the commentary may be. I would like to think I learned something from this experience. Thanks. I think it is great the way that the RSL organization has been supportive and communicative with the fans. Hopefully that relationship will continue to grow and both sides will be open to accepting feedback that will help move the organization forward.

Feel free to call me a butt kisser if you want. I am fine with that. I think it was standup for Spence to enter pretty hostile territory in a very professional way. He earned quite a bit of respect from me today. If that is butt kissing then I am a butt kisser.

We'll have more than three. It's only a matter of time and organization. By the time we move into our new stadium, we'll fill both curves with supporters clubs.

Of course, I'll be in my club seats and safely away from all of you by then. 😉
