Just wait for the Mersyside derby. Go Toffees.

I have adopted Fulham F.C. for next season for the Bocanegra and McBride reasons and also since they will be coming over here for the MLS all-star game.

I root for the Americans. go Timmy Howard and Man. U.
Go Reading F.C. (Not Premiership yet) for Bobby Convey and Markus Hahneman.

There are more...

Yes I support all the Yanks Abroad... Although I find it extremely difficult to support Brad Freidel... cos if he does well then Blackburn Rovers do well...
If I hate any team in the world more than Colorado it is Blackburn Rovers...

And now what? Since they won something you have to hate them? I dont buy that garbage for a second.

Ive been Chelsea Blue for a more than 10 years now. I became a fan, because I was a fan of dreadlocks, and my friend that got me into soccer was a fan of Ruud Gullit, so I became a fan of Gullit. (Those were good enough reasons wheny you're 15) He moved to Chelsea that summer, so they became my team of interest, and eventually passion.

Admitedly I was a bit embarrassed by the billions of dollars that the Russian Revolution brought, just as the bubble burst on the rest of the European teams. So now my team had tons of money, and used it. But I got over that quickly. Not because they won, but because of the real quality of the players brought in to add to the quality that was already there. (Frank Lampard was a signing under Ken Bates, and he's the best there is). But I realized that Roman wanted a team that was the equal of ManYoo, Arse-enal, Real Madrid etc.. Equal in terms of investment and personell. You know all the whining about Chelski's money, Manyoo is still the richest club in the world...by far.

All this to say....The reason why you like a team is sometimes silly, or sometimes based in something real. (I lean toward Celtic because one branch of my tree is Catholic Scots-Irish). But the passion of a team will not come just because somebody else likes them. I have no good reason to say why Chelsea is under my skin as only RSL is, but they are and I love it.

That's okay.

Clarity is not always my strong point anyway. You should hear me tell stories... :cracksmokersmiley:

Okay, okay, nobody said I can't root for more than one team. So, here's an ammended version:

Liverpool, due to the Beatles connection.

Fulham FC, due to the Yank connection.

Rangers, due to my ancestors being Protestant.
