What I hoped to accomplish was to show that there IS INDEED a problem that needs to be solved. Why was everyone denying it?

Okay, now everyone has their problems out on the table, can we figure out a way to get along? I think the RCB are the best fans we have in the stadium, and I think their group is awesome! But let's solve our differences before we become a Columbus situation... if it's not already too late. I just don't understand why you would keep denying it all.

And so everyone knows, I stumbled across their site when I noticed that one of the hilarious pictures of Landycakes was being hosted at that address.

I've got to say something here in the hope that whatever's going on is still salvageable. In an earlier thread entitled "Hymn", I indicated that we should wait and see what RCB decides to do, if anything, officially. Based on Czar's "investigative reporting" (🙂), it seems to me to be pretty clear what the plan is. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean the plan has to be carried out!!

Issue 1:
Creative Differences - It appears that the members of RCB have a different opinion of what chants should/shouldn't be used.

Solution - Creative differences are allright to have in any group. The best thing to do is get them out in the open, and discuss them and hopefully come to a compromise. If some don't like some of the chants, let's talk about it, and come to a compromise. Czar is a great example of this. He mentioned that he doesn't particularly enjoy all of the primary songs we do. That's a start.

Issue 2:
Forums "Censorship" - This can't seriously be considered a RCB vs. Loyalists issue due to the fact that, as far as I know, Glenn has never advocated, or advised any type of censorship on particular members of the Loyalists as an official Loyalist action. What happened with that had less to do with the Loyalists as a group and more to do with individual disagreements.

Solution - This doesn't NEED a solution, because it shouldn't even be an issue. This has been mentioned by Czar before, but we're all different people, and may have disagreements with each other from time to time - that's just a natural part of belonging to a group. This is exacerbated by the fact that we're using a far from perfect medium to communicate, and that some people pay more attention to their ego than others. This should absolutely NOT be a reason for a schism in a group that relies on unity to be effective. In fact, and I hope this doesn't come across too harshly, it seems childish to me. Jules had a quote from another thread: "Drama: we either have it, or we create it". Perhaps that's what's happened here.

If there are other issues out there, I'm unaware of what they are, but I seriously doubt they're unresolvable. We have so much to gain by coming to terms with each other and too much to lose to not. We may yet find some way of co-existing separately, but to try and do so would give-up the ultimate prize, in my opinion - and that is a united RSL fan-based community that is LITERALLY the best in the league.

I fail to see how any of that is helping your cause.

but you did leave out the emails from Old Ska II threatening to make things worse if i did not reinstate him...
OR did you guys not get those two from him?

Also you left out Old Ska's last PM... you know the one that got him banned... and the explanation as to why I was doing it...
Wait a minute what about the two that came from Ska after he was reinstated that he sent to make sure i knew he was reinstated...

People will make there own decisions based on the way you guys handle yourselves here...

come on guys in the interest of completeness .... let's have it...

The original PM from Deuce, when he asked us to quit posting, asked us to keep it out of the forum. So, we tried to keep any negative discussion out of the forum.

I really have enjoyed going to the matches with you guys. In my PM to Jake I told him that it was our initial plan to start the "Loyalists II" or something like that next season at the opposite side of the stadium so that we could help grow the supporters.

However, the way we were treated by some of the people on the board (a very select minority) just speeded up the process. The reason that we hadn't posted links or anything to the cavalier web site is because it simply wasn't ready yet. We had a lot of work to do before we could set it up.

The Loyalists had all sorts of time before they went live. I imagine that the first meetings of the Loyalists were a lot like ours were. We're new, we wanted to cater to a little different fan than the Loyalists did.

We used the other forum to vent our frustrations out on how we perceived that we were being treated here. We thought it was a better alternative to posting our grievances on this forum.

Take what you want from this.

I don't think that they have ever been interested in completeness. Their goal is to make them look good and everyone else look bad. And there is no way that is going to happen if the whole truth came out. Look at the measures they have taken already. Their forum was up for less than a day before they started deleting their own posts. I have been asked to delete my posts on that same thread, but not because of what I wrote, but because I have left up for all to see exactly what was already deleted. And it is pretty convenient that their entire website and forum suddenly disappear moments after being made open for public scrutiny.

I think it was asked once on the forum, are you honest in your dealings with your fellow man? Interesting question.

Oh boy. I shouldn't have started it I guess. I apologize to everyone, I just thought it would help to get things out in the open.

I can't respond for others. I'm trying to give you my perspective. I know very little of goertha, so I'm sorry if he comes of as abrasive.

We did a good job of not making that information from Deuce public. However, because of the "investigative work," I felt I had to get it out there in order to show you where we are coming from.

I repeat, I think it is great that you want to form a second supporters group. However some of us who were not involved in either attacks from you or were part of the group complaining about those attacks are feeling lied to. I love the energy you guys bring to the game.

By the way you guys could have vented on bigsoccer, that is pretty much what that place is about.

In all seriousness, good luck with your efforts on building the RCB. RSL will be stronger for it, as long as we don't turn into Columbus.
