I'd like to get some new chants going, and I'd be happy to work on some. And I STILL haven't taught you my "Forever Loyal" chant, which I think will be great. It is my own melody, though, so you'll have to be willing to learn it.

Jake Hook us up! I like all the chants but one. The 'here we go, here we go, here we go' one is sounds too... simple, for a lack of better words. It sounds like we can't think of anything better. Don't get me wrong, I will yell all the chant/songs louder then most of you, but I love the idea of the new.

This is what I think would really improve us. LOOK AT THAT PHOTO! DON'T THEY LOOK ABSOLUTELY AWESOME? I mentioned, many weeks ago, that we needed to get some choreography going for some of our chants. Maybe even all of them. We talked of our standard Bum-da-ba-da-da-bum "REAL" chant, and spoke of either punching a fist at the sky or making a V shape with the arms. Then along came one of the girls who said "isn't it funny to see a bunch of guys talking about choreography" and suddenly the discussion ended, and it didn't get any better the next game or the game after that. So again I say. Let's get some choreography going. At the June 4th game Sam's Army, who is a much looser knit group of supporters than we are, had perfect choreography, and they looked AWESOME. I say we copy them. The problem is, that stuff only looks cool if everyone does it, and does the same thing. So we all have to join in. Do you all want me to go through our chant list and pick out times to do certain things, so we can add these things to the chant list, so everyone knows? Just say so. P.S. - It was me with the new flag for my kid. I tried to volunteer my wife for flag making, but no one took me up on it. I know how it is, everyone wants to make their own mostly. I guess that's okay, but it makes me sad, because I've made almost all the flags I can justify making, and my wife won't let me buy more material and think up more designs, unless there's somebody who will be on the end of the pole waving it. She's so persnickety like that...she just doesn't want to spend a few hours putting together a flag that nobody will use. Why are women so difficult to deal with?

I prompose the following for Loyalists Organization/Hierarcy:
A Loyalists Committee, where every member has a specific responsibility and One President To Rule Them All: Committee Positions: 1. Chant Coordinator a. Formalize official chants, review new chants b. Teach chants to Loyalists c. Figure out ways to teach chants to others d. Decides official wording and makes sure it's presented properly e. Could address the issue of a "chant leader," be it him or herself or assign somebody else to & coordinate with them f. Make sure chants continue with no big pauses g. Coordinate timing w/ FO and jumbotron 2. Color coordinator a. Gets the "Wear Red!" message out there b. Flags c. Confetti d. Streamers e. Other "color" ideas To Be Continued...

3. Membership Coordinator a. Recruitment coordination b. Updates membership list 4. Tailgate King or Queen 5. Gear King or Queen a. Coordinates T-Shirt creation, design & distribution b. Looks for original and unique designs to create new Loyalists gear (not included in membership fees) c. Onesies, toddler, etc. would be part of this 6. Public Relations Coordinator (could be split into two or more positions, but would work best with one person coordinating overall) [Choose me! Choose me!] a. Helps coordinate website content b. Helps coordinate website design c. Newsletters d. Applicable press releases e. Team appreciation i. Sending something for MOTM winners ii. Birthday cards to players 7. Treasurer a. Manage membership funds, work closely w/ membership coordinator b. Works with other committee members who want funding for their specialties, perhaps sets a yearly budget 8. Roadtrip coordinator (smaller position at first that somebody could really own and do a lot with if and when others were ready for it) 9. Booth Babe... I mean coordinator a. Get a Carnival Real booth and manage the staffing of it b. Booth would include membership info, chant sheets, Loyalists gear for sale, streamers and game-day stuff for people to pick up ON SITE instead of going Wally World every week, face paint (Helloooo Jim!), etc. c. T-shirts for members could be picked up on-site and would ideally be available for people immediately if they join there ...To be continued...

10. Watch Party coordinator a. Coordinates, schedules, etc. 11. And One President to Rule Them All. The President's job is just to get status reports from all the different committee members, make sure everybody is in line with each other, help answer questions (be the Official Know-It-All), schedule meetings, etc. The president would not have to be directly involved in anything, just communicate enough with the committee to make sure things are being done right. NOTES: a. Several of the committee members would need a relationship with the FO to coordinate information directly, although it would be understood that in larger decisions and communications, only the president was the official contact. b. The committee members coordinate things. IE they are leadership, not personally responsible to do things themselves. They are responsible for things getting done either by committing somebody else or doing it themselves depending on circumstances. c. These things should be voted on, approved by larger Loyalist membership so everybody has a chance to nominate somebody, volunteer themselves, etc.
