Jules, I assume that Loyal1 needs to call a meeting or something so that you can officially present your agenda items for the group to review.

When would that be?
PS Great ideas by the way. It seems to give the club a more polished look and hopefully spread out assignments more.

Some ideas that have been fomenting in my brain over the last few days.

1. We all want to try to get the entire crowd into our cheers, but they hardly join in at all. Sometimes with an Ole or two, but that's the extent. But when the friggin' jumbotron says Let's Make Some Noise, suddenly they're all screaming and cheering like total nutjobs :frusty: . I think what we need to do is see if the FO will help us in using the Jumbotron in our cause. What we ought to do is have a recording made of all our main drum beats. Then have the jumbotron play them here and there during the game. We drum along with them from our spots in the corner, and sing the corresponding chant, and since it's coming from the jumbotron, the rest of the crowd will eventually join in. Consider our chant that goes "Bum-da-Bum-da-budda-da-bum REAL," Some of us yell "Real", others yell "Salt Lake". Now, imagine that drum beat coming from the Jumbotron, and the whole crowd yelling "Real" when they're supposed to.

2. Idea two goes hand in hand with idea one. We have our drum beats coming from the jumbotron here and there through the game, but people on the far side of the stadium can likely not even hear us, and definitely can't understand us. How can they join in? Only if they know the words to begin with. How can that happen? Distribute 15,000 chant sheets? Or...we could start doing this. With the blessing of the front office, we make short, one minute videos, that teach the chants. Somebody really energetic could be our TV Personality. These videos tell people when to shout "Real" and when to sing "Get into 'Em" and so forth. And at each home game, the jumbotron plays one of our instructional videos at a lull period of halftime. Like they already do with Sierra Mist commercials and the like.

All we need for both of these ideas is a little allowance from the FO, but we have such great relationships with them I'm sure that would be a breeze right? I'd even volunteer to make the videos. I do videos everyday after all, I work at a friggin' TV Station.

So what do you all think of these Ideas?

Only as long as we have 60's instructional video music to introduce them, and you have to wear a lab coat! 😁

In all seriousness, we should have a meeting, or at least the officers should have a meeting and discuss and prioritize all of these ideas, then choose to work on one or two for the next month or two, and do likewise for the end of the season.

I think we could work on all the ideas if we organized ourselves correctly. Using Jules' staff positions, these people could be heads of committees, and these committees would be responsible for doing the things that pertain to their committee. It could work very well, and we have plenty of folks who want to help, and would probably enjoy being part of a committee.

I agree. Commitees is the best way to go. That way we get even more done by the end of the season. I also agree however that ppl supervise the comitees and try and get certain things done first. Does that make sense?
