I remember from what must have been either the late 70's or early 80's, NBC used to have a Saturday sports show that went up against ABC's Wide World of Sports. Anyway, I remember seeing a military competition where a certain number of soldiers would move parts of a canon over an obstacle course, I think they even used horses for some of it, and then they would assemble the canon and the first to fire off a shot was the victor.
I can't remember if it was being broadcasted from here in the US or if it came from Britain.
Anyway, over the years I've brought this competition up for one reason or another but nobody has ever known anything about it.
You guys know anything about it? |

| The Gun Run is an adaptation of the Gun Run performed each year at the Royal Tournament. (Or used to until the royal tournament was scrapped). The aim of it is to disassemble a gun carriage, convey it through a course of obstacles, including an Arial runway and assemble it at the other end in the fastest time possible. |
