Lance always starts out slow. He'll take over in the mountains for sure. He always does.

It would be hard to argue that Lance started out slow. He put serious time between himself and all real contenders. With the new format the TTT doesn't matter all that much (which sucks) but I'm pretty sure Lance will be in yellow after tomorrow.

When asked how he spent his first day in the yellow jersey... SLC native Dave Zabriski's repsonse was:

"How did I spend it? Racing bikes," said the 26-year-old CSC rider said with a sardonic smile.

1 - Team Discovery
2 - CSC
3 - T-mobile

Zabriskie fell about two miles from the finish. He finished, but behind the team and I haven't heard about possible injuries.

Dave is known for his caustic wit (some have called it "dark humor", some call him "creepy"). I am mailing him an RCB scarf if he finishes ahead of Lance overall.

If I were a meaner type of guy, I'd try to make a joke drawing a parallel between Zabriskie falling and RSL, but I feel bad for the guy. 😉

It was short lived. Lance back on top.

Ironic that they put the TTT in a few years ago to try to "mix things up" hoping that Lance would lose lots of time because of his team, then his team went and became the text book example of how to perform a TTT. Then alst year they changed the rules so the time difference in the TTT isn't as large as it should be.

They keep on trying to mess with Lance and he just keeps blowing everyone away.

Going for seven!

Like how on the first day of the race, officials decided to "randomly" select one of the almost 200 racers for a drug test, and it just *happened* to be Lance? 🙂

Then last year they added the mountain time trial up the famed Alp d'uez
(yes I know I trashed the spelling)

Lance obliterated the competition on that one.

Rip their Balls off Lance! (painted on the road last year)
