You know what, I think the game we watched at Iggy's was on a different network, with different camera shots of the game. I guess the network that MLSnet saved the game on doesn't show the same thing - too bad. Does anyone have it on TiVo from FSN (Bill Riley doing play-by-play), and can snag screenshots from it?

i'll rip the stream of the game from mlsnet when i get home and i'll cut that part out for everyone to enjoy. i just don't want to watch the whole fiasco all over again, so just for clarification... it happens around the 40th minute?

Sorry, I already deleted it as I had no desire to watch it again. They were playing the Chivas broadcast in the room with the main bar.

Next time I'm just going to keep my mouth shut (or I guess keep my hands from typing what I'm thinking).

Either way, you'd still be right.

Some of us were way too optimistic.

Oh, now there I must disagree with you. You CAN'T be too optimistic! :nana:

You can be wrong...but not too optimistic. For instance, I predict that the boys, having been thoroughly embarrassed by Chivas, will turn around and thrash KC, at least 3 to 1! It can't fail! :signwooho

unless, of course, I'm wrong. :signoops: ๐Ÿ˜‰

Jim, I love your unflagging optimism. I can't duplicate it, but I can respect it.

I stand corrected. Just a little over a year ago I would not have thought that Salt Lake would get an MLS expansion team for 2005.

Keep the faith. We'll get this thing sorted out soon enough. Let them get their punches in now. It won't last long.

Thanks, Jim.

So here I sit all depressed reviewing parts of the game in my head and I keep asking myself. Self, why don't our players shoot as they run onto the ball instead of taking one more touch allowing defenders to get into position to block the shot before it can even get to the keeper?

There is another clip that someone could find. I saw it on FSN. It's the best because we all get frustrated when players beat up on Jamie who for some reason is invisible to the officials.

Anyway, Jamie was knocked to the ground and the shot is a tight of Jamie sitting on the ground through three pairs of Chivas legs. A Chivas player reaches a hand down to help him up and Jamie looks up at him and says:
"F***k off!"
Then he waited for an RSL player to help him up. It was the best. Did everyone else see that?
