That would be great but we need to have them for next match.

I think just a banner in front of E32 would be nice, and would be enough. I'll ask if it would be okay.

I just got back from the funeral and it was amazing. Every time I saw a little tiny coffin that small I started crying, but I was inspired by the strength and faith of the family. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to go to that today.

A couple other thoughts on this:
* My neighbor told me that RSL never lost a game when he was there.
* I was looking at the Loyalists roster, and a couple of my neighbors brothers are actually paid Loyalists.... I never knew. I guess they've even stood with us a couple times and I was too wrapped up in the game to notice them there.

Ok then. Any volunteers to make the banner? I made the "Make Poverty History" banner - but it was sort of white trash lookin'...how ironic.

What would go on it?

His Name
199whatever-2005
FOREVER JR. LOYALIST

OK if you think that is best.

Here is what I have already done and what I had in mind.

I printed the wallets(enough for 50 buttons), black ribbon to make memorial ribbons to go on the buttons and a 5x7 to put on a jar to take up a collection for the Family.

I thought we would sell the buttons for a couple of bucks and the money... all of it would go to the family... I am sure it won't be alot but it will be something for them from the Loyalists.

Also Seth Trembly said he wants to help in any way he can. He said he is sure many other players would want to help.

Just my thoughts... but seriously whatever you think is best.

Sounds great. I didn't want to nix any ideas... Let me talk to the family and whatever THEY want is what I want... and obviously, what we all want. 🙂 Since the funeral was today, I just wouldnt' feel right calling them right now, but I'll email her right now and maybe call her later in the week. 🙂

We have a "Go!" on the ideas. My neighbor expressed her appreciation for everybody's support. She said she won't be in town this weekend but some of her siblings will be, and they'll take pictures of everything. Good work, people.

Now...... what are we going to do? :D

I can bring some markers & poster board to the tailgate.

But I can barely draw flies, let alone a poster suitable for something like this.

Should I leave my art supplies at home & leave this to the professionals?

Sounds like the buttons are more than half made. We need someone with a button connection to finish up the process. I was going to suggest we sell the buttons at the tailgate, but do we really get 50+ people to the tailgates? if not, we need to figure out a way to sell or distribute the remaining buttons - if necessary.

The banner is also a fantastic idea, but may be more technically difficult to pull off, unless we have people that can either make banners, or have banner connections. What may also be a good idea is to work with the FO to honor the family and child with a general announcement during half or before the game. That may be the easiest to pull of logistically.

Bottom line, however, is that the processes for both the banner and the buttons need to begin ASAP or they won't happen!

As far as the buttons are concerned, isn't there any way we can buy plain buttons and afix the pictures to the buttons ourselves?

Found this on Dexonline:

A & P Associates 420 E Bridlewood Dr
Murray, 84107 - 2813
(801) 263-2685

Sounds like they'd be able to do both buttons and a banner.

Good info. I wonder at what cost though? I would imagine that professionally made buttons and banners would be cost prohibitive, unfortunately.
