My Introduction

I served an LDS mission in Brazil during the 1990 World Cup. I started to appreciate soccer at that time. I haven't really followed the MLS but am excited about Salt Lake getting a team. When my friend, Paul, asked me if I would go 50/50 on RSL season tickets, I couldn't resist. So, now I will need to familiarize myself with the players and teams. I am looking forward to attending games.

As my name suggests, I am dad to 8 kids (3 step kids, 2 adopted kids, and 3 that I fathered). My biggest challenge will be in finding a baby sitter when my wife and I go to the games. :D

Welcome Dadof8. Thats an awesome intro. Mission, kids and all.
If you have any questions about MLS or soccer in general just ask.
Also, for a great look at Real Salt Lake's roster, check out http://www.theloyalists.com/players.htm (shameless plug)

Hey, one more player and you have a starting eleven--all in the family.

Great to have you part of RSL. Welcome aboard.

Boy, I'm slow. I just now realized what "dadof" means in the name of one of our other posters, "dadof3"

Welcome.

hello all

im rsl fan up north (brigham city). Huge fan of soccer! Can;t wait for the games to begin. I don't hear much about rsl on the radio or tv, but i think the media has no clue of the amount of support this team will have. I am glad we have this forum to keep me informed.

Does anyone have a link to some flags i can see from other teams (Europe or here). With all this flag talk, my creative juices are flowing.

Hola.

I'm Adam Ă–sthed, 32, married with 3 small children. I'm Swedish, I've played soccer my entire life and still play soccer every Saturday (and sometimes Tuesdays). My father and three brothers still play to this day... I got 6 season tickets (my father/friends have 3 of them) - so that I can rotate people I bring with me to games and spread the love... When my older brother moves to Utah from Sweden this summer, our number will go to 8 tickets; when my two younger brothers start making some money, the number will likely go to 12... As our children get older, we will continue to grow "our section" - we want to have our OWN supporter's section (hehe).

I can't believe that I will be able to raise my kids on their "second religion" (soccer) with a local professional team here in Utah! Viva RSL! Long live the Beautiful Game!

Some of you may have seen my username on BigSoccer - it's the same "aosthed".

I just have to say that I love the diversity in our little group here. So many interesting people from all over the place. Italy, Sweden, Orem...... soccer's bringin' the world together baby!

(Have I ever mentioned that I love meeting people from all over the world? It's one of my hobbies, sort of.)
