Utah has had professional "futbol" since 2000.

Utah Blitzz players did not make very much money. But they did make a little.

The Blitzz even had Joe Mcnab from England, Gavin Galloway from Scotland and Glen Puckrin from Northern Ireland.

I think that they also had other British players, but these are the only ones I can remember now.

Yes, but you know how American sports fans are. It isn't a "professional" sport unless it is the top level available. We have AAA baseball franchise and many fans talk about wanting to see professional baseball in the state.

Hi Jared, how are the Subway commericals going?
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Welcome to the boards. I am a non-Utah RSL fan too. Its a world-wide phenonema.

We had a similar problem over here. You may or may not know about the 'Pyramid' system that operates in this country in regards to football. Basically it gives the chance for any team, no matter how small to eventually make it all the way from the bottom league (county leagues) to the very top (Premiership). However 3 years ago, the owners of Wimbledon FC, who were without a ground of there own were given permission to move 70 miles away to a place called Milton Keynes, which didn't have a pro-team at the time, but it had several clubs near the bottom of the pyramid structure. The people of MK couldn't be bothered to support a small team, and help it rise to the top, like the people of Wimbledon, and MK's local rivals Rushden, so instead took a team away from it's community to have it easier.

Despite the fact that Manchester has more Subway's than McDonalds, we don't have adverts for Subway here in the UK. But thanks to 'Supersize me' people when hearing my name and liking of that restaurant ask me for my autograph 😉

🙂

Hello! I'm new here. DadOf8 talked me into joining, so here I am 😉 . I am a SAHM, and trying to finish school at the same time.

As you can guess, our kiddos keep us pretty busy, so it's rare that we get any free time for things like hobbies. Although, he does have season tickets to RSL games, and takes one of the kids with him to the games.

I enjoy spending time with our family, and doing things with my sweet man. Hmmmm. Well, if you want to know more, just ask. Oh, I'm not quite the 'computer geek' (I mean that in the best of ways DadOf8) :p so, be patient with me. :D

Woohoo! Stay-at-home Moms unite! I'm a mother of three (including three-month-old twins and a three-yr-old toddler) and I love being a stay-at-home Mom. Good to have you, Momof8! 🙂
