yeah... I think I'm done with both groups. maybe I'll see if the Jesters will let me stand with them. Without mentioning names... from the Loyalists you get the holier than thou attitude, you get people deciding that the general admission rule doesn't apply to them, you get too much PC. Then again I really like a lot of the members. From RCB you get the pure bitterness toward everyone else, you get alleged "hardcores" who are very quick to call security and start making up bull**** about the altercation that happened, you get people absolutely refusing to join a chant only because it started in the Loyalist area. Then again I really like a lot of them too.

So forget it. It's dumb. I really don't want to be a part of either anymore.

I guess this is a good time to be heading to Italy then, isn't it? Enjoy your time with the Romanistas.

Jake, I know you’re referring to me with the general admission comment. Please no hard feelings, but I was never informed about the section being GA in multiple conversations with the FO when I was purchasing my season tickets. I was told, though, when I asked what was going on that I could have my seats if I insisted. And since I now know that GA is the preference, I won’t get my tickets there next year so that I won’t cause problems for you or anybody else.

I already posted my opinion about the ‘altercation’.

And at this moment, I’ve about decided to go back to my original choice of Section 37 for my season tickets next year to get away from all this bullsh**.

👍

Since I wasn't at the game (foot problems), I watched it on ESPN2. Let me just say that I heard the drums for almost the whole game, loud and clear. And the cowbells! It sounded great.

There was one time that they showed the supporters section and it was the RCB they showed. Looking good.

I'm glad I missed the confrontation. I always find it irritating and disappointing when people forget that we're there to support the team, not feed our own egos. I hope that whoever was involved will read this and remember the next time.

You may want to hold off on that decision until closer to next year for a few reasons:

a) The issues can/should be ironed out before the end of the season.
b) The RCB may or may not even sit in that section again next year.
c) There's a ton of non-bull crap that happens in that section that makes it worth it. One thing you may want to try is sitting farther to the north in the same section. I always find myself on the north side of E32 bordering E31, and I never get involved in any of the stuff that has happened, I just chant and sing and it appears that everything is hunky dory! 🙂

Hey, if Rangers and Celtic fans can get along, can't we?

Let's all just remember we only have a couple of months left in the season. Let's enjoy it before the long cold winter sets in.

This is the problem that I've been having. I really liked the Enger Boys. The stuff they wrote on the board was some of the best stuff to read. Since they've gone the board has been much more like this  I go to their board and look around and it's pure BS. It's all ego stroking, and it embarrasses me.

I also have to admit that I've run into the people who don't want to recognize the fact that it's a GA section too. I bring my kids, and in the loyalist bylaws or whatever the heck they're called it says that we need to make sure that kids can come to the front and see. But the front is occupied, and although the folks there made the pretense of letting us in, a half step to the side didn't really cut it, and we spent the whole game in the aisle. Personally, I prefer being up a little bit higher anyway, but the view of everyone's backs is not so good for my poor five year old. Honestly though, I don't think he watches the game at all yet, so it doesn't really matter.

What I wonder is, where are all the good feelings of the first month of the season. Did the teams scoreless streak sap them out of us all? I really miss it.

Then again, I'd do almost anything to see our groups stay together, there's no where more fun to watch a game. Maybe I just need to be like some of the others who have given up the board except for an occasional visit.

I have been asked to make myself available for a meeting reguarding fan group relations... I hope a lot of the issues that have come up here can be addressed.

I am with a lot of people... in that I am sick of the BS that does happen. I am sick of ego's. I love soccer and that is why we started this whole Loyalist thing in the first place.

All of that said... don't let any of this get you side tracked... we are there because of our love for soccer and our desire to support RSL. Soccer and our club.... that is what brings us to RES. Lets keep that first and foremost in our minds.

I would like to extend props to Glenn from RCB for working with us to coordinate chants during the game. You did a great job of not only letting us know in the second half what you were going to do, but also in working with us to lend voice to several chants. Thank you for the effort. At some point, we might want to get together to talk about some chant ideas and ways we can improve coordination...
