The way I see it, there is only 1 player who could even be considered for this award. And that is Jason Kreis.

exactly, playing well in half his games and being aloof in the other half has been AW's M.O. in the MLS. We knew to expect this from him. CLint on the other hand.... __________________

My Vote would be
Chris Brown CB is not a marquee player but he has been the most consistently good player the entire season. A true team player, going where he is needed, never complaining. Always having an impact on the match.

I would give it to Andy Williams without question. True, he had a rocky start, but consider the commitment he's made to the team.
Also, every player has his up and down moments, but Andy's up moments far outshine other players. You have to admit. When he turns it on, he's by far the most excting player to watch. Andy absolutely deserves this award.

Well, this deserves it's own thread, but...
If I could choose one player to stay on the team knowing that that player would always be in top form that we've seen this season... I'd actually choose Clint Mathis. When he really turns it on, it's almost breathtaking. Go back and watch that 40-yard goal again. Sometimes his passes and maneuvers are brilliant. However, our experience this year has taught us to evaluate players more on their consistency of good play than on their shining moments. For that reason, I'd give it to Chris Brown, too. I'd probably say Jason Kreis, but he actually wasn't with us the whole season due to his injury. I have the votes for Loyalists Player of the Year tallied, but I'll let Glenn decide how and when to announce the winner and runners up. Last edited by montgjules : 10-25-2005 at 11:31 AM.

Andy Williams, no question. Take him out of the games we played and what do you have?

I'm not saying that he didn't contribute, or that his contribution wasn't great, even necessary. I'm only saying there were those whose efforts started at the start of the season and continued on for the whole of the season. If he had had that level of effort and performance for the whole season, I would go along with the choice, but I still think that Jason Kreis would be a better choice and the others I mentioned should at least be in the running. :dog: (running, you know) __________________

A team with 5 d-mids and absolutely no playmaking ability whatsoever. Yippee!

I totally agree with you. Chris gets out there and hustles. He never lets you down. He does his job and he works hard. __________________
