I wouldn't trust mlsgear dot com to get a t-shirt out to you now though with the track record they have at screwing up orders.
If you or anyone else really want one, I can see if my sister can get one at the local sporting good stores. I'm traveling but I can see if they still have any left. Let me know or PM me with size and quantity and I'll see what she can do.

All I can say is... I bought an 1836 shirt... so they better change the name!

If they don't then I will have a good shirt to use when I shovel the chicken coop! :banpoop:

Any speculation on what they might call their supporters club?

The Sammies
The Texicans
The Oilers
The Apollos 🤢

any ideas?

The Texicans, heh...they could always be General Houston's Army. The supporters groups might poke fun at the name change somehow. If they are the Lone Stars, then watch out for Spaceballs tie ins. My short list:

The Loners
The Chilean Flag Robbers
The Legal Secessionists
It's a Matter of Time (referring to Houston-annihilating hurricane)
Houston's Cavalry
The 1836 Musketeers
and my favorite, "I Don't Care"

:dog: Why aren't they the Houston Scottish Terriers?

Well it just continues to be comedy capers. The name that all the media is stating 1836 will be changed to is the LoneStar or Lone Star. Real original--NOT!! However, there is a sports group called LoneStar and they are now objecting to the use of this name. The 1836 organization keeps stating no decision has been made. hmmmm let's see pre-season has started, they play RSL in a few weeks in Austin, and everyone is wondering what they are going to be wearing--Earthquake kits?

By the sound of it you won't need to use the shirt to shovel the chicken coop.

i have totally past by this thread not thinking much of it until i saw all of the views and replies. I had no idea all this was going on. I hated that name anyway. I vote for Houston Republic FC. You think there is anyway we can get that name to them before they try to take the stupid Lone Star rout? i am a huge astros fan and don't want another star logo. heck, i hate sharing it with the cowboys as it is.

I agree with you on the Houston Republic FC. A lot of us thought that was going to be the name from the get-go. I'm hoping the Lone Star route doesn't fly, totally unoriginal. I agree with you on the Star bit. My sister bought my brother-in-law an 1836 shirt and he thought it was an new design for the Astro's. <:O(
