Williams has carried a reputation for occasionally mailing-in games from his earliest days in the league. For that matter, so have Cunningham and Mathis.
Williams did some great things last year and seemed to have put all that behind him. Maybe not, but I'm not ready to call for any player moves yet.

However, the first season bye is now over for the coaching staff. The performance in the opening game speaks for itself. You can either produce in this league or not. Time to produce.

At least suit them up so they're available.

I might sign up for the Dump Williams campaign as soon as I find out how Ballouchy is going to do.

Didn't we play these guys just a few days ago (preseason)? How could RSL, Williams/Ellinger not know Chivas had improved that much.

As for too early to put heads on the chopping block, wasn't too early to send Mathis packing (no debate on right or wrong) he didn't perform on a constant basis, therefore he is gone.
We as fans, do not need to put up with this crap RSL is calling soccer. After all, if it wasn't for the fans, these guys would still be playing in the same leagues we still play in. And if I wanted to see that I'd skip their games on Saturday and just go down to the park.

He has got to go...

Those are all good points of course but I think Mathis is a bad comparison because he was let go last season.

We are one match into this season and I am struggling to find a single positive... but I don't think the sky is falling... just yet! I will give it a few more matches.

We were simply out played yesterday and I hope it was a wake up call... the honeymoon season is over and I think as fans we have a rite to demand better but I am not going to base my opinion on that single performance... no matter how humiliating that loss was or how much I want a win on the road.

And I can certainly think of a couple players that I would chop before Williams though... I am angry about the performance yesterday, but I am also trying to be realistic.

I agree, I havn't burned my jersey yet.....yet! I think the aquisitions made during the offseason where good, on paper. However, I'm not just basing this campaign to remove Williams on this one game (that'd be foolish). Williams didn't perform last season and he hasn't consistantly performed on the other 6 teams he's been apart of.

Also, in another thread, can't remember who, but he posted his arguments against the "sloppy" look (untucked jersey, sleaves over the hands, etc) Williams has. I couldn't agree more. This definitely doesn't help with him needing to be removed.

He has got to go...

Chivas killed us on the fundamentals. Passing, hustle, etc.

I think there are two reasons for the outrage. One is we really expected to see a better team but we didn't. (we probably will later)

The second reason is we got killed by Chivas.

Chivas is fielding a hugely improved team and has to be encouraged by yesterday's win.

p.s. I felt really bad for Sequiera. You could tell he really wanted it. He was one of last years villians, but this year, maybe I'll pick up his jersey.

Andy is the only one that gives everything he has on the field. I remember seeing him last year at the end of the games looking like he was going to pass out from running so much. When everybody else looked like they didnt even break a sweat. Getting rid of Andy would be a great lose to this club.

Thats just my opinion though!

I think most will agree that last year there was a very noticeable difference between "April Andy" and "July Andy". What we saw last night brought back horrible memories of last April.

New Poll

Maybe we should start a new poll:

How many times, in the next game, is Andy going to throw his arms up in discust, and give up the on the play?
