Gee. Do I LOOK like a BYU student?!

Hi, clarette, my name is bordelais7. You must be new here.

A lot of Mexican League teams have beer ads on their uniforms and I think that some European teams do, too. Some national teams have beer ads on their warmups. (Colombia?)

Advertising $$ is always a concern, but I'm not sure they'll have a difficult time filling slots. Is the game going to be televised?

This might be legitimate, but I'm wondering how many people are going to come from out of town to see this. Probably a few, but I would imagine that RM will be hitting other destinations on their trip to the U.S., so we probably would only get fans from surrounding rocky mountain states.

Provo is also quite a haul from the airport.

I don't see how the first two "legit complaints" relate to fan participation?! You're saying fans are only coming to see the Budweiser ad boards and the alcohol ads on team jerseys?! Real Madrid doesn't have any such sponsors on their jerseys, so assuming that is who comes, what is the problem? I'm sure the front office has/will address any such issues.

Provo is only relatively farther away from the airport than Rice Eccles. Several stadiums are just as far, or farther away from their major airports.

I think calling it bigotry is a bit much... Having a healthy rivalry between cities and counties is just that... healthy. Albeit a bit misguided...

If you wanted to see bigotry you should have been at the immigration rally yesterday. Especially on the northeast corner, all the guys Utah Minuteman teeshirts yelling at young woman with Latino men "the only reason he married you was for a green card..." or the toothless trailer trash men shouting and holding up signs that said "who killed all the white babies?"

Compared to that... saying that the bubble sucks cos it is full of Utah county folk is a bit weak...

Not according to Coach E on the radio this morning. This would be there only US stop this summer.

I don't exactly remember, but didn't the church relax its drinking policies at the Downtown Malls during the Olympics? Is it not possible that BYU will look the other way for major one-time events such as we're discussing?

BS won't load on my crappy work internet connection, but I can only imagine the outrage on those boards... And yet, it seems vaguely familiar...

Even funnier than that was the guy in the Boca Juniors jersey I saw on TV, participating in the other side in that topic (the topic in Deuce's picture). I wonder if any Chivas fans ran Libertadores smack on him?

While I certainly had fun watching the USMNT back in the day when $10 would get you a seat close enough to give advice to Bora, and $8 would get you in to see Jeff Agoos, Hugo Perez and the LA Salsa; I prefer the USSF's/MLS's current financial situation.

If Budweiser is fine sitting out a game in the Lavell, then I am too.

"A bigot is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of opinions differing from his own."

By definition it seems to fit the bill.
