RSL presently has approx. 1/3 the points of the league leaders.

With DC's gift to us last night, RSL now climbs out of the MLS cellar. We now share pts. with two other teams that have a worse goal differential.

Can RSL do the impossible and make up the 6 pt. differential and qualify for the playoffs?

After DC's gift, RSL is supposedly hot. Don't believe everything you read.

Man, you still have the sorriest way for raining on a parade. It was no gift. It was a hard fought win.

And you have a penchant for calling a drunk homeless man stumbling down the street a parade. It was a lucky win that will be repeated 2 or 3 times more this year and we'll still finish last and you'll be ticked pink by it.

And we'll live after the manner of happiness instead of in the dreary wasteland you guys appear to occupy.

I'm with soccerman and AreliusIV. At best it was a hard fought tie at home. RSL did well to create some chances but they were a bit lucky to enounter that much reckleness by Wilson at the end. Not smart plays. I love Mehdi but I'm not sure he makes a goal from there the way he's been shooting. And Klein wasn't in a very dangerous spot at all.

Enough of this BS. A win is a win. Period. I'll take it however it happens. FC Dallas and Chivas both took extra points out of Salt Lake due to stupid plays. In a few weeks, no one will care or remember.

The fact is, this "gift" as you call it means very little. If they don't make the playoffs, this "gift" won't matter. They'll miss the playoffs by three less points. Well wooopedeedooo! If they do make the playoffs, they'll have to win a crapload more games and no one will say,"Thank God for the free PK back in July." I hope not anyway. That would (hopefully will) be cheap and pathetic.

To discount this win now is a cheap shot and only available to you as such because of the lack of prior success.

Shots RSL 14 - DC 9
On goal RSL 8 - DC 5
Corner kicks (holy sh**) - RSL 5 DC United 0!!!!!

With the number of games out there in which the best team doesn't win, isn't it nice to know the better team won last night?

Fact is, they should have had the second penalty a couple of minutes earlier, they created numerous other scoring chances, and they held the "best team in MLS" to one goal.

Damnit, I'll take that anyday. I'm going to enjoy this win. And everyone else should as well. You can't? I guess you have three options: a) shut up b) pull your head out c) meet the RCB in the parking lot on Wednesday night.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO REAL! (Salt Lake)

I am the RCB in the parking lot (unless not being manic over our 5th win of the season voids my membership in some manner).

I guess you're going to have to pull a fight club.
