it is all fine and good to say we need to do this and we need to do that... but it is a whole other thing to actually do something about it!
I completely agree! However, if you want to legitimize the view that soccer doesn't have the needed public support for a stadium deal, one of the best ways to do that is to organize a march where only 6 people show up to.

OK so because we might not get more than half a dozen people.... we should just call it off and have zero people?

can't imagine where people might get the idea that nobody really cares!

Flash Mob

It would be fun too! We could do it several times in the coming months and the media would be all over it.

I like these ideas: the march from 400 S and wherever to Rice-Eccles, the flash mob at Ch. 2, and the petitions. Each one of these will require planning and a little time in order to be truly effective, however. We need to get the RCB, the Loyalists, and even RSL to back us up on these. I would recommend waiting until at least the next home game for the march. The Ch. 2 thing can happen pretty quickly, all we need are signs and synchronized watches. The petitions could possibly be ready for this weekend's game. I think we would be better off to wait on the march for a little bit as of yet...

That is a great idea... how do we do it? and can we do it on such a short notice?

We could organize something before next home game... my concern is that in the public conscience (sp?) the stadium issue will be ancient history by Sunday... that is why I wanted to do something before this saturday.

but I am willing to get something done for next time if we can get assurances that people will show up....

The most important thing is to be sure we'd have the numbers to pull it off. We may not be able to do it this week but if we start spreading the word "underground" style, especially at the game, we should be able to get the word out to enough people so that when it does happen sufficient numbers show up.

I have commitments with the Ogden Outlaws. We have an exhibition match on Saturday. My wife is going to the match, i'll see if she would participate. She likes making signs...but likes RSL more.
