Nothing official yet but it looks like Cabrera has been released and is on his way to try out for a denmark club.

This is all setting up too nicely. The release of Cabrera frees up an International spot, then Real Madrid announces that not only are they coming on Aug 12, but David Beckham will not re-sign with Real Madrid, but instead will sign with Real Salt Lake.

OH YAH! I can see it now!

BigSoccer says it's official....

Does this make room for Dunny? 😉

Theoretically it does. The move here isn't as significant by freeing up SI space (the club has two slots already, so it's not like Cabrera was sitting in a spot that was blocking other acquisitions). What it does do, however, is free up a senior roster spot so that a player over 24 (could be Dunny) would be able to sign with the team.

Beckham at RSL? Can you imagine the names of the kids if he and Posh had more with in Utah?

Uinita
Tooele
Oquirrh
Alpine
Orem
Payson
Scipio
Logan

It all just depends on where they were when they...... *ahem*, ya know.

All's I know is I'd hate to be "Wahweap Marina Beckham." I'm just sayin'. Or "Ranch Exit Beckham."

And you haven't even cracked the REALLY weird names. Like Paragonah, Tocquerville, Henefer, Shivwits, Moab. I'd vote for Ephraim Beckham--that's nearly poetic.

You could have Whitehorse, Sweets, Wildcat or Beaver Beckham... now those would be names. :jawdrop:

Cabrera's spot might be getting filled by a third keeper since we lost Palmer and gained Hashimoto.
