RSL vs. Chivas [R] 7/4/06

This is so humiliating to see Chivas 10 pts. up on RSL.

If that is humilating for RSL, imagine how Dallas or LA must feel?

Seriously though I have very little optism tomorrow against the Goats Lite. They took Dallas apart and they didn't even have Razov to do it. Suarez's goals were amazing!

I'm taking my 85 year old grandmother to her first soccer game tomorrow. I am also taking my 4 year old daughter. Both are excited to go. It will be my grandmother's first match.

RSL and Chivas are on opposite ends of the heat index.

Wonderful! I hope both of them have a good time. I have a feeling the 4 year old will no matter what. And I suspect a lot of grandma's fun is dependent on the 4 year old. 🙂

0-0 against the Chivas is going to look like a really good result in a couple of months when we're in last place and Chivas is in 2nd.

All I can say is this.........get rid of the two K's and the big E.

Kudos to three of our players that always give their all and kick arse: NOVAK, TORRES and MEDHI! You guys ROCK!

Well, the secret is out. The secret is not that RSL sucks for that is no secret.

The secret is that RSL’s only offensive weapon is Jeff Cunningham. When he is on, RSL wins. When he is off, RSL loses. A month ago, RSL went on a 4-game unbeaten streak. Why? Simply because Cunningham was scoring goals. Since then, RSL has gone on a 5-game non-winning streak. Why? Because Cunningham hasn’t scored any goals since our last win. The only two draws in the last 5 matches were 0-0 draws.

It is sad that RSL has only has one dangerous player who is capable of consistently scoring goals.
Upside: Hey, at least we have one person who can score goals!
Downside: When he’s off, RSL slumps.

RSL needs to get more people that can put the ball in the back of the net. It can no longer depend on one guy for this.

The theme of last night’s game was: So many opportunities, such poor finishing.
First minute: Cunny can’t bury it on a wide-open net.
First minute second half: Harris with a breakaway. Can’t finish.
Minute 79: Ballouchy puts in a through ball for Klein. He tries to finish with his foot when he should have headed it in.

Ellinger has run out of ideas. Its time to turn the reigns over to someone with fresher ideas. RSL should have snatched up Bradley when he was available.

What does RSL need to do to persuade Bruce Arena to take the job?

Very true. Besides posting more in the "Fire Ellinger" threads, the only other thing I can think of is a player upgrade. Spend some money, get some good Int'l players to fill in the holes (forwards).

And I don't mean the soccer power St. Kitts-Nevis's international corps.
