worst record for 1.5 years and going for the worst two year mark.

I would rather be the all time king of crappy for a year and be in the playoff race the next year than completely suck for two years.

RSL may be bad but they are still a long way from matching San Jose's level of suckiness, they missed the playoffs 4 years in a row, 97-2000.
