RSL = Real Saint Louis?

That's the current rumor, anyway.

I still think that RSL is moving to Rowan, New Jersey.

This morning on 1280, David James said that they had been contacted for comment on this very subject by news outlets in St. Louis. Seems like alot of evidence that uncle Dave had already been shopping the team or at least planting some seeds should the stadium not get public assistance.

Paying for a stadium for the Cardinals lowered St Louis' bond rating; so I'm not too sure how well an MLS stadium would go over.

St Louis would become, I'm pretty sure; the smallest market where MLS has to compete with Major League Baseball. The Rapids just have to compete with God's Team (the Rockies) and they are not doing too well at the box office.

did anyone hear the Don Garber interview on 1280 the zone?

he was VERY blunt and basically said that they will not be somewhere the community will not support them, and that they feel they should pick up everything and go.

He was not even that blunt with San Jose fans.
pretty close but he never said that San Jose should pick up and leave!

I did. He also said they wouldn't make the mistake of entering another market without a stadium deal already worked out.

Garber needs to pull his head out.

Granted, the local politicians haven't been supportive, but to say the community doesn't support RSL is completely absurd. Because I guess all those tickets sold and merchandise purchased and blah blah blah is totally insignificant or whatever.
