😎

Well, I live in North Orem, so naturally I would love to have the stadium practically next door. And I agree that a little of "finger waving" at Salt Lake County might be very satisfying. But mostly, I think it would be a real shame (no pun intended) for the team to be sold out of the state.

In my opinion, it was a great thing for Utah when the Jazz came here, and another really great thing for Utah when RSL came here. But since the Salt Lake establishment wants to play politics about it, it would be very nice to give them a resounding "Up Yours!" from Vineyard.

Got in late tonight and saw this. So Dave must at least be really considering it as a backup.

We're going to make him an offer he can't refuse

Wow, free land and no tax dollars needed to build? That's hard to turn down.

the land would have to be free...otherwise Geneva would be obligated to do environmental remediation to clean up the toxic waste there. I can't imagine this is a real option, but I'd rather they were talking about it than any of the real possibilities...apparently highly publicized solutions are doomed not to happen.

This is a requirement for Geneva anyhow, free or not. It really has no bearing on a stadium being build with the exception that it could mean more time to build because of the clean up.

That said, I really don't care where the staduim gets built as long as they get one done.

Me too. I just don't want to see them move out of state!

Until this offer was made, it was looking mightily like they were going to have to move. But now...well there is hope.

I believe they already have 50 or 500 acres of land already clean and ready to go, and are willing to let go of 30. I don't think it would hold up the stadium.

That's what I've been understanding. They seem to be READY! And that's a real plus.
