Actually we had one - RJ - traded him to Chicago for Jack Stewart. We got a great central defender out of that deal, though...

I think Brown has more value for us in his current situation than what other clubs would feel. He's an "all-around" type of player, and can fill just about any position we need him to in a pinch.

His value to any other club is irrelevant. I'm saying he should be cut, not traded.

Brown is an all around player, but 1, we don't really need that many all around players, and 2, we have a few all around type players who are better than Brown (i.e. Kreis, Talley, Sequiera).

Acosta has actually been moved to right back this season.

Worthen is a left sided player.

Brown Scored two sweet goals on Sunday morning... which is his 3rd or fourth this season... while Kreis has seven, Talley and Sequiera only have one a piece.

Brown is worth more to this team than you might think.
Just sayin'

I'm a Brown fan too. I wish that he coudl settle in a spot he is comfortable with though. But at this point I like him coming off the bench. Last year he was one of the bright spots. This year though RSL has moved on up, just like the Jeffersons.

And how many goals would Kreis, Talley, and Sequiera have if they were playing in the reserve league? Nice try though, comparing Brown's two reserve goals to everyone else's major league goals. :dancing:

The point is, the original post was my opinions, nothing more. What I'm trying to solicit here are other people's opinions on who should stay, who should go, etc. - I'm not looking for people to tell me why my opinion's wrong. If Chris Brown is the next Clint Dempsey, fine - that's why I'm not the GM.

I think, just as in 2004, Brown will be on the expansion draft unprotected list.

Broome will be too unless he is fully healed (any word on him? He fell off the earth).

As for changes for 2007, RSL will probably go after at least 1 of each: Striker, midfielder and defender. But knowing Ellinger most of those might be rookies.

They'll stick with Garlick again.

What I'm wondering is who might retire at the end of this season.
