And lets not forget that Landon owned Mexico in a little competition that seems to be pretty popular, the World Cup.

I agree. While Landon looked awful, the rest of the team didn't look much better. I say we chalk that up to the whole team drinking some bad water the night before and look forward to them qualifying for the World Cup and doing well there.
BTW, will MLS take a break during the World Cup next year or will they continue playing without national team players like they are doing for qualifying this year?

Further confirmation?
http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/3499612 Looks like confirmation that Donovan is at least leaving Bayer for MLS. LA?

Bayer Leverkusen Cancel Donovan Contract Bayer Leverkusen Cancel Donovan Contract
Donovan comes back to MLS on free transfer while Leverkusen keep "sell on" option. Another article Quote:
It is not a good week to be Donovan, most fans are calling him a baby and suggesting he can't cut it. Me personally... I am happy to have him back in MLS and look forward to seeing him play this season (well as long as it is not with Seedy Cheetos) You do realize that MLS may send him to Seedy Cheetos to maximize on media attention, to try to stablize the team and to quash all the negative attention being leveled directly at Cheetos. I hope that they send him to Galaxy or Earthquakes... but remember that you heard it here first, "MLS and Garber may throw us all a curve ball and put Donovan with Seedy Cheetos" Last edited by Deuce : 03-30-2005 at 08:44 AM.

I doubt it will happen, but it's not impossible. The league has tried for years to stack the Metros, and with all the comments from MLSHQ about seedy cheetos being this year's "Freddymania," they may just be desperate enough to do it. Of course, if it works out as well as it has for Metro, we'll all be pleased with the result. OBTW, for what it's worth, I was at the HDC yesterday to pick up some tickets. I saw no one there buying seedy cheetos tickets, but a number of us buying Galaxy tickets. Anecdotal, for sure, but except for some FO personnel I saw no sign of our fellow expansioners.

So we'll have what...1 or 2 years of Chivas in the league before the Mothership gives up on the project? I sure hope I'm wrong, but things aren't sounding too promising.

Although this is completely non-related to this topic, but doesn't Chivas fans (in Mexico and when they play friendlies in the US) traditionally do a ton of walk-up sales on the day of the match?

That's right, Prime. The Galaxy has always, I'm pretty sure, been the MLS King Of Walkup Sales. But maybe now the Goats will take over that title.
