I asked Chad Sackett last night what his expectations were regarding attendance this Saturday. He said he thought a low figure would be 12,000, a high figure 22,000.

I don't know how much this means....BUT.....I called the FO today to find out how to get the best tix for 2 family members that needed them for Sat. I was told to go to utahtickets.com for the "best available". When I got on there, I had a hard time getting tix!....There were no seats in premium...only bleachers. VIP tix were up to row 44. I didn't try the "cheap" seats. I hope this is a good sign for things to come! :D .....just thought I'd let you guys know!

There is a good chance that we can sell out the 24,500 seats for the home opener. This would be more likely if we can thump LA on saturday. Has anyone heard if Donovan is still sick or is he expected to play?

One thing to note is that even if they sell 24,500, they will sell tickets to anyone that shows up for the opener. (They'll just keep rolling back the tarps on the upper sections if they need to) So please don't avoid attending for fear of not getting a ticket. But as many others have said PLEASE arrive early if you're buying a ticket or using will call on game day. Don't find yourself waiting in the ticket line a half hour into the game as late-comers to the US Women's match a few years ago.

Where did you get your number? This is exciting. I have heard a lot of people not too interested in soccer say they were going be cause there has been a lot of hype. I think that they will be pleasantly suprised by it. It reminds me of baseball. A lot of people hate to sit and watch baseball on tv but when you actually sit down and do it, its entertaining.

Most people i know don't like soccer because they have never been exposed to it. All i hope is that the exposure will hook'em! We just have to make sure we are a crazy crowd. Not one of those "corporate" jazz crowds.

Anyone know how much they're anticipating in walk-up sales tomorrow?

If they've already sold 15,000 and have been anticipating a big walk-up day, the crowd could be frickin' huge (Utah styleeeee). :D

OPENING TICKETS: Tickets sales for RSL's home opener eclipsed 15,000 Thursday afternoon according to Chris Keeney, the team's senior director of sales. Keeney was confident the team would approach a sell-out of 24,496 at Rice-Eccles Stadium but wanted to stress that no fan will be turned away for the opener.

That's great news! I really hope it surpasses the "Sell out" that he mentioned. That would be even better news!

Hatch on 1280 just said that he heard that there is a 30 minute line at RES right now to buy tickets for tomorrow's game. The place is going to be packed tomorrow. I can't wait. :D:D:D
