The mistake was not EJ's for admitting he was faking a foul, the mistake is the league and ref for falling for it.

That's where I disagree. The mistake WAS EJ admitting, and basically bragging about faking. In effect, showing up the ref. Yes, officials need more training, but you have to agree that the league doesn't need a bunch of players bragging about their crimes.

It's one thing to do it and get away with it. It's an entirely different thing when you brag about it after the game.

That is unacceptable and the most unprofessional conduct on all counts, including the flop... the fake injury and bragging about it afterward!

If the league does not fine and/or suspend him then the next match ref should have standing orders to red card him even if he is just kneeling to tie his shoes!

Sounds good go to me. It's bad enough that he did it in the first place, but to brag about it afterwards. I just can't get over that. What an ego he must have.

Well, I'm thinking the "GAM" moniker doesn't fit his maturity level, for starters...

I'm thinking that since Ruis's nickname is "Little Fish," though apparently it has been since before he became MLS's biggest flopper, that EJ's oughta be "Big Fish." What a pair. That whole episode just reeks. If EJ doesn't get at least a fine, I'm...well, I'll have to think a little harder next year about springing for season tickets.

It would not be too far a strech for the defenders in the league to adopt a new way of thinking. "As long as I'm going to get called, I might as well make him feel it." I'm not trying to perpetuate a bad idea, but this type of officiating can lead to serious injury. The league must step in. Can we start another round of emails. Who could we notify? What's the email address?

Does anyone know if you can appeal red cards? I would think that EJ's comments might go a long way towards making a good appeal if it is possible. Maybe we should start off by making our own FO aware of the comments posted by the reporter on BS.

I saw that "foul" on TV last night.. I don't think Pope even really made contact with him. It was crap.
