Great work guys, sounds like we got him! We should all sing a Johnny Mathis song for Clint, that would be funny.

Williams
Kreis - Mathis

That is a great front line!

Clint Mathis will follow the new MLS mLS-Franchise material[Real] Salt Lake town center. After Mathis was nevertheless used in the past season sixteen time and obtained four hits, he could not in this play time into the master eleven spielen. So remained oneself it with four further employments, which were crowned by the Jokertor against Schalke. We wish Clint in the USA all to property and many gates."

I would have my dad translate this (He speaks German fluently) but I think we all get the gist of this pretty well. 😉 Plus, this is funnier!

This from the sporting life
"Hannover returned to training on Tuesday without USA striker Clint Mathis, who completed a move to Salt Lake City after less than a year in Lower Saxony."

OK I promise this will be the last time I put a link to an article about Mathis... well at least til SL Trib, Deseret News, MLS or RSL make some kind of announcement...
I just like the headline...

Do you think they will announce the Mathis acquisition tomorrow (1 January) or will they make us all suffer a few days first?

Let's hope for something soon! But New Years day may be a little unreasonable to hope for. I vote for the second. :D

Well as we thought, it's January 1st and no Mathis news.

Do you take over or under 1 week before RSL or MLS confirms Mathis to RSL?

I'll say over. Now that the trade window is officially open, I'll bet they have to iron out some details and this and that... but I hope it will be done by mid-month.

Mathis, 28, who joined Hannover on a free transfer, reportedly will be sold for $350,000 to MLS. He then will be allocated to Real Salt Lake, which has been coveting the unpredictable U.S. international. The clubs will have a working agreement that Hannover will play two friendlies in the U.S. before 2008 and that RSL will send youth clubs to Germany for training. RSL will pay Mathis the league maximum of $280,000, according to league sources.
