Uhhhhh.... It was a very, very entertaining match to watch.
The soccer writers in Utah are licking their lips. They smell blood.

I remain loyal.

Thanks. I mean it. I really appreciate you taking a positive approach, because I'm low on that right now.

It's just one game, right?

I say we petition to get blue shorts for the away uniform. We've tried everything else. I think I remember that Coach shot the white-blue-white down in favor of the skivvies look.

Maybe the boys would play better if it didn't look like they were in their jammies.

👍

Don't look now, but some fans are already calling for Elinger's head. (Not me, but some fans.)

Wow.

Don't know what to say, really. That was absolutly pathetic. This is freakin' C-H-I-V-A-S. I thought it would be hard to top the goal-scoring drought, and now this. What's next?

Bluntly, I sat down to watch tonight's game thinking we had our best chance to win on the road.

Oops.

But I do believe you're right. The foundation is there--we just need to start winning games. That just seems to be a tough thing for the boys at the moment. With our next two league games being against KC and FCD, it won't get any easier, even with our defensive starters back.

Oh well, you play the games on your schedule and give it your best shot.

Bring on . . . Minnesota!

Good night y'all. Elinger will chew out our lads and get them back on track. Remember that we were without Pierce, Pope, and Dunseth, we had no defense and Chivas exploited this. Heck, we even scored a goal on them. I think our problem is that we need more offense, look at how we do when our defense is there, we do alright, we're just anemic when it comes to scoring. We'll figure it out, stay positive. Oh, and by the way, we ordered the chicken, I'm not superstitious, we lost because we had no defense tonight.

Good night.

We are now first place in the Sigi Schmidt Derby and the Bobby Convey Cup.

The Galaxy lost 5-0 to the Metrostars in 2002, and won the MLS Cup later in the year.

Today's loss and next week's loss in Kansas City don't count because the only people watching are the home team's relatives.

I respect your opinions, as usual, but you now are officially THE MAN.

You said weeks (months?) ago to watch out for the middle of the season since most teams would lose players to WCQ and Gold Cup whereas cheetos . . . would not.

So tonight we found out just how narrow the gap is between mediocre and embarrassing. In our case, three defensive starters.

Mucho rep on the way.

👏

Goats Lite lost Sequeira to international duty. But if he were playing tonight, Chivas probably only would have won 2-1 or 3-1.

If he is still unsigned, Cabrera's salary demands probably just went up.

But they might go down tomorrow if a pi$$ed off Tri remembers how to finish against Guatemala.

I'm too depressed to talk about the game. Maybe I'll sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning. :frusty:
