+ we are really worried that the ownership may have put all their player identification, coaching, and training eggs in one basket (Ellinger) and he may not be up to the task. Most of us are willing to give him another chance, but if the team has the same obvious problems early next year, a change will have to be made.

Speak for yourself, not all fans. I think you'll find the majority of fans have every confidence in Coach Ellinger.

I think that most fans are willing to give him more time to prove his worth, but "every confidence" is probably a bit strong.

I don't think so. Most fans would not incorporate this forum where every single decision is picked apart by people on a daily basis. Most fans would be the other 17,000 that attend the game and have no idea this forum exists.

There is so much more to the team and it's failings this year than everyone likes to assume. Maybe I am just an old fashioned fan but I support the team no matter what and I am honeslty a little tired of people moaning about every little thing. Steve and John have done the best they could and given the circumstances of an expansion team with national call ups, injuries, players who didn't want to play and various other league irregularities I think they did a bloody good job.

If we are talking international friendlies, how about a game against FC United of Manchester? (Is that a cool idea or a dumb idea? Sometimes I don't know if I'm cool or dumb.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_United_of_Manchester

It could be cool since they just began play this year so we share some type of kinship with them.
