Steve- As a resident of SLC, I'm very disappointed you chose to do it like this.

We made a good faith investment of hard earned personal and tax money and this is how we're treated? Lied to? Stolen from?

I'm very sad you chose to do business with such people. How are we supposed to feel?
C'mon I am not pleased about a Sandy stadium either, but are we not carrying this just a bit too far?
If you don't like the way your politicians do business then you already know how to stop them. Vote them out.

Dear Section 37...welcome to the real world of business and politics. Salt Lake can complain all they want, but they left themselves wide open for this possibility.

Unless you can prove that someone from RSL was involved in the alleged misrepresentations to Salt Lake, your comments are unjustified, ignorant and, frankly, borderline slanderous/libelous toward RSL's front office.

I'm not accusing RSL of being dishones, I'm sad that they jumped in bed with people who are like that.

It's not right. And it involves plenty of my money.

That's how it is.

don't call me ignorant for reading the paper and quoting directly from it.

Champ Kind: We need you. Hell, I need you. I'm a mess without ya. I miss you so damn much. I miss being with you. I miss being near you! I miss your laugh! I miss - I miss your scent. I miss your musk. When this all gets sorted out, I think you and me should get an apartment together.

Brian Fantana: Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you stop talking for a while.

Section 37 you should take Brians advice.

Perhaps you missed today's tribune editorial. Look it up.

It does a very good job of outlining the deciet.

Do you want me jumping up and down because I also bought a 400 dollar season ticket?

Puhleeze.

I thought the tone of the editorial was more of whining than an actual "hey, look at this" kind of thing.

So Greg Curtis suggested they use the money to buy the land, are they actually going to use the money to buy the land or is it just a suggestion? I suggest a lot of things, nobody listens to me.

Maybe they'll use the money like they said they would... build a parking garage. Too bad sooooo sad if fans decide to use it when parking for an RSL game. If the garage had gone up, on future RSL land, and THEN RSL bought the land, would anybody complain?

If they decide to make a more formal investigation and put together some facts, then I'll listen. Until then pointing out a 'suggestion' is weak sauce.

Isn't Sandy still accomplishing the purpose for which the money was appropriated? They just happen to be "thinking out of the box" and got more bang for the buck, and now SLC is mad about that? Is it just because they didn't get what they wanted?!?!? It seems to me that Sandy one-up'ed them with money that SLC gave them - and not in an illegal fashion (ie, Sandy still uses the money to accomplish the end the money was given to them for), and that makes SLC mad. Heck, I'd be mad too! But I wouldn't have any grounds for accusing Sandy of any misdead - at least not without standing on "moral high ground" and saying "shame on you". That's all you can do. I guess if that helps take away the sting of getting beat, then they'll keep doing it.

So it's a "technically it's still legal thing"?

This stadium was done the Chivas way.

What have they done wrong? Any facts? Nope.

Listen, the big hurrah is about Greg Curtis saying they should use the Salt Lake City/County money to buy the land for Sandy's benefit. Yippe skippee. Have they actually used the money to buy the land? No. Will they? Maybe, and in that case I would say it is an unethical, wrong thing to do. You don't say you will use money for one thing and then turn around and put it into another.

HAVE THEY SPENT THE MONEY ON THE LAND? no.

According to the opinion piece, Greg Curtis has been campaigning for it. Campaigning means that someone disagrees with him. I hope that someone wins.

I agree with ya, I hope that someone wins. Sandy was the last place i wanted the stadium to end up. Murray had a better proposal then sandy did, but I guess Snarr wasn't sleeping with checketts...so of course sandy won it.
