No, please don't even buy it for that. They don't care what you use their paper for as long as you buy it. I am personally going to boycott the Trib... sorry any Trib fans/writers who may be here. Not Pele... you better not miss anything because you are the sole source of my RSL news now.

xlyte's right - all we need to do is raise $45M and fund the whole thing privately. So what are the options?
1. Find a big corporate sponsor or two, slap their names on the RSL kits for the next 50 years. The economy's good - should be easy to find a company that's got that kind of cash to spare. How about Exxon? They make that much cash in like 6 minutes.
2. Take out a loan.
3. Collect donations.
[sarcasm]
4. Loyalist/RCB bake sale.
5. Loyalist/RCB car wash.....preferrably a bikini car wash for maximum revenue (there are some hot RSL fans out there)....please, ladies only on that bikini thing. ๐Ÿ™‚[/sarcasm]

By the way, what's RSL's official position on this? Do they have other options in mind? Are they optimistic that eventually we'll get a stadium? Or is the team as good as gone? Can anyone in the know get a feel for what's on Uncle Dave's mind?

Those are the big questions right now. The FO needs to get the word out as soon as possible.

OK. Damage control or a whole new direction? We'll see. But it's a positive that Dave Checketts will be there himself. Let's hope the message is positive for those of us who support the team.

Hopefully, they will pull a rabbit out of a hat and say, "We had a feeling this would happen, and we have been working on a contingency plan. How does [any Utah town] sound???"

I sure hope you're right, because I'm really upset about this.
