You know, what DOES the public think at this point? If they are already so anti-stadium thanks to their own ignorance and the help of the media, why wouldn't they be thanking Larry Miller for keeping their tax dollars safe?

From the KSL story on this, there were people calling Checketts a whiner, calling him better than LHM, and whatnot, but no one said, "Thanks, Larry!" so maybe my fears are irrational. According to Miller, several people went out and bought cars from him after he pulled Brokeback from his theater as a form of support. Anyone think some people might do the same over this???

No, but I'll go plaster RSL window stickers all over his cars.

I like the way you think. If only I had a stash of RSL window clings...

The KSL board seemed to largely put down both Dave and Larry. Think that the general public just doesn't relate to people they view as being extremely rich. Think this is serving to make both of them look bad.

As a side note, I thought the whole Brokeback Mountain issue was interesting in that Larry bragged about lots of people calling to tell him they would patronize his car lots because he pulled the movie. He didn't mention that some people (myself and others I know of) emailed him saying they would NOT patronize his businesses any more because of it.

What I love about these people are they ignore the fact that on the same weekend, Hostel was released as well at all megaplex theaters.

Hostel is a movie that has been labled by some writers as semi-pornographic. Most all said it was extremely graphic and horribly violent.

thank you Larry for saving us from the two gay cowboys in love.

If I had a choice, I would have seen neither. But I never had that choice. Funny how agency works.

The KSL boards suck because you post something but it doesn't show up until about 8 hours later.

Or sometimes doesn't even show up. Some of my best posts have never appeared, and they weren't any more derogartory than any of the others on the board. Very strange...
