Aha! THAT'S the part I've been missing!

See, I get into the forum and immediately click on "New Posts", the go through the list. I never noticed (until you just mentioned it) that you had a Roque Cavaliers section. 😳

NOW it all makes sense. So it looks like we do have another "division" of the Loyalists. We have the Southern Division, and the Rogue Cavalier Brigade (I think I got that right). And everyone else are all losers, right? 😉

Glad we got that straightened out.

Perhaps it is just me, but if you are going to have a hymn for RCB, shouldn't you be singing about yourselves instead of the team? I think it is great that you want to form a second supporters group. That doesn't mean that you should forget that we all should be united in our support for the team. I know it is just semantics, but I feel that they are important ones. Either it is a hymn for the team, or it is not.

Loyalists will always be welcome to sing along with the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade Anthem.

I don't think you heard what I was trying to say. The whole frickin' stadium is welcome to sing anything.

Okay, I amend my statement: the whole frickin' stadium will always be welcome to sing the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade Anthem.

One of the major changes to the lyrics underway this very moment is to make it more Rogue Cavaliers Brigade specific.

👋

In the same way that "the whole frickin' stadium is welcome to sing anything", individuals and groups of individuals should feel free to also write an anthem for themselves. I don't think it is appropriate to get snippy because the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade is the only group to make one work to this point. For some reason I feel like this is pushing one of your buttons, and I honestly don't understand why.

There is nothing in all of this against anyone else, but I keep getting the sense that people are looking for conflict (and maybe even seeing conflict) where there is honestly none intended. For all the talk of being united behind the team, I sense a lot of animosity towards a group of people who are just looking to be vocal supporters of RSL.

Perhaps it is because a few people are going out of there way to make it seem like there is a conflict. If you really want to know, go and review all of your posts and look at how many of them make you seem what I hope is much more pompous than you actually are.

A number of us have been talking for quite awhile about coming up with some sort of RSL hymn. I think that is what you are forgetting. This is supposed to be about the team, not you or anyone else.

I didn't make this about you, your comments about the hymn did. If it is to be a RCB hymn, then don't distribute the lyrics. If it is to be an RSL hymn, then do. Do you understand the difference that I am seeing and trying to point out to you?

I am not actually looking for any conflict, but this whole RCB - Loyalsists thing is turning into an absolute joke. We are getting a reputation for being some of the best fans in the league and you, with some input from others, are trying to rip it apart at the seams. I don't understand why you are trying to make the whole thing exclusive, again either it is for RSL or it is not.

Do you understand what I am saying, or am I going to get ripped for pointing out how absurd this whole thing is. I don't care if you want to be a Loyalist or not. I don't care if you want to sell your Loyalist stuff on ebay. I am thrilled that we have multiple supporters groups in our expansions season. I want a stadium full of supporters groups that all understand that it is about the team, not us, not our egos, not creative control over lyrics stuck on a stolen melody.

Do you remember this chorus, We all cheer for Real Salt Lake?

For all the denials of any animosity between different groups, it exists. You can find it here and you can find it on the (secret?) RCB forum.

Legion04 and V-Army, anyone?

It sucks, I've seen fans of other teams get completely fed up and stop supporting their team altogether because of rifts between different supporters groups.
