I think that many of the problems were not having a consistent lineup out there every week. I saw some improvements towards the end when the lineup stabilized a little. I can't wait for next year when things will be a little more stable. At least I hope they will be.

There is no reason to actually close the thread... no matter how much people want it to go away...

How is that any different from any other team in the league? Kinnear had that problem, had to put out a reserve team to play RSL, and we still couldn't win. NE's had guys like Ralston constantly called up for Nats. FCD lost both Ruiz and EJ. Has RSL been any more hard done by than any other team in the league when it comes to missing players?

The difference is that most of the players on other teams have been playing together for more than a year. That just isn't the case here. It was a brand new team with brand new players with a brand new coach with a brand new front office in a brand new location. Teams that do well in their first year are the exception rather than the rule. It just doesn't happen. Should I start making a list of how good expansion teams are in their first year? Give the team a chance to get on its feet and then you can start judging them.

If we have another year like this year, then by all means start calling for heads, but it is just silly to think that by starting all over again next year that will improve us. It won't. And then when the new coach comes in and doesn't do well do we fire him too? At what point does the merry-go-round stop. We need consistency, not more upheaval. That is the only way we are going to improve.

Uncle Dave said he is bringing in some specialist coaches for next year to help run the team and improve on things. How about we let them establish something before we start tearing it down. If we keep tearing it down just as it gets started building, we'll always end up being a terrible team. Teams that change coaches a lot suck. Give him at least a couple of years to get things established and then if once things are built they still don't work, then you can start talking about tearing them down. Don't destroy it when the foundation is barely built though.
