I agree. It seems like we need to stick to 3 or 4 chants and keep them going. It can get tedious saying the same thing over and over, but the North side actually started a very simple "Lets go Real, Lets go", which seems like everyone joined in.

If we keep a couple simple ones going throughout the game and don't necessarily change as dictated by the game, (Offside, How High, etc) I think we'll get a lot more people involved. Once we have them used to stand, clapping and chanting the basics then we should work on other chants.

Just my $.02

If the team keeps playing like they are....

you won't have to worry about getting the stadium involved because there won't be anyone outside of E32 and E38.

It's ironic that last year team officials were distributing streamer to the support groups and suddenly they are no longer allowed. I wonder if the league said something about them?

It would appear no more streamers. I had a bag of 50 streamers but they told me at the gates as I was comming in that they are no longer allowed. They said my flags were ok but no to the streamers.

I also noticed the streamer machines that the front office had set up last game were now on the east side and up at the top of the stands. I saw streamers shooting from up there but none of them made in onto the field, just in the stands.

So it is safe to say they no longer want streamers to end up on the field.

Coach Ellinger and the players hate them; a few sprained ankles by players colored their opinions.

I asked, when they took my streamers away, and they said that yesterday was the first day that they were not allowed.

I bet it was the Chivas bastards that ruined it for everyone. If they hadn't been pelting Hartman with streamers and confetti, the Galaxy would never have allowed Razov's goal against them. I think the league was fine with stuff like streamers, until they affected the outcome. Once that happened, they were out!

I know the players were not hot for streamers, but the team obviously wasn't against streamers or they wouldn't have set up their cannons on the field. I'm pretty sure this is some stupid league mandate. And you can thank those goatsucking fans of chivas for ruining it for all of us.

I didn't bring any streamers to this last match, but I did bring a can of Spray Confetti ("Silly String") that was confiscated at the gate. I didn't think that would be banned in the stadium! :banpoop:

OK, I just finished reviewing the board to see if anyone has commented on this. Did anyone see how the first LA injury occured? I didn't see him go down, but did see streamers wrapped around his ankles when the medics came over...

The second injury appeared to be the turf monster. Ryan Johnson complained to me while signing an autograph about how hot that turf gets. Can't wait until we get a real SSS with real turf!

The player got tripped up by Sequiera and then they tumbled to the turf and Sequiera landed on top of the Galaxy player's head. A few minutes later the LA player collapsed again and then was carted off.

The player w/ Johnson, simply pulled a hammy and grabbed it as he went down. The ref, who wasn't paying attention all game long anyway, saw him go down and just figured he must have been pushed or pulled down. (Of course ReAL players go down of their own accord, because the Galaxy don't push or pull, just ask Chris Albright). He went down immediately and was grabbing for the hammy before he hit the ground.

At least, that is what I saw happened when I rewatched my tape of the game.
