I also saw a couple of jesters in attendance about half way up E32. I don't know if they were the same vocal presence as last year, as they were behind me, but they were still there.

back to cheering. So I admit the walkie talkie probably wouldn't work and I accept that some people don't want to do the "ole" song until after a goal (some might not at all, but I think it is still a good song and one that people could get into). So even if it is only after a goal the jumbotron could display the words and it could become a tradition that the whole stadium sings it. I also liked the idea of people with signs in front of each side one with R another with S and so on. On corner kicks maybe we could do the R - S - L chant on the jumbo. I really like the idea of getting the word out that everyone is welcome to join us in 32 and 38 and that it doesn't cost money.

i think putting some of the cheers/chants up on the jumbotron is a good idea. i cant wait for the entire stadium to be singing in unison.
i sit in the north goal and half the time i cant tell what you guys are saying and the other half when i can tell what you're saying all of my friends around me dont know what you are saying because they are not avid soccer fans. i think the jumbotron would allow everyone to be on the same page and know what to say. and after a little while we will know the cheers and can start doing them without the jumbotron. i also like what someone had to say about having a few good cheers and singing them for long periods of time. i think that is very effective and fun.

Maybe at halftime of one of the games, we could have the halftime MC or PA announcer, demonstrate how when R - S - L apears on the screen, that the weside yells, "R", then the northside says, "S", and the eastsiders yell, "L". I'm sure if the PA announcer can yell, "OK everybody! It's time for free KFC chicken!", and everone goes wild, he could get everyone saying R, S, or L.

I thought it was interesting that during halftime they rewarded the fans that cheered the loudest when there was nothing happening on the field. Maybe they should reward the people that cheer the loudest when it actually matters instead of when Leo points at them. Maybe if people realized that in order to get that splendiforous little soccer ball they had to actually be noisy during the game it would do more to help the team win. Seeing who can cheer loudest at halftime isn't going to help the team all that much.

I think this is a hilarious idea. Everyone go out and buy a fake stache! How funny would that be? I also thought it was funny that when they thought they could win something the west side suddenly peeped up and actually made some noise after being quiet most of the game. I like the idea of the section being the loudest DURING the game to win a prize (I dont need a prize to be loud but apparently some ppl do).
