I saw the Gestapo jump you and your megaphone last year and quite frankly I was pissed!!! But do you think they would do the same if 10 or more of us had them and we were ONLY using them for chants?

And on another note: I have friends in the North and West stands who also said they could only hear the drums and not the chants, contrary to last year where they could mainly hear the chants. (they also mentioned something about needing more practice......). I like the idea of letting the Sambas do the drumming and having the Loyalists and RCB's do the chanting.

i liked that the people leading the chants in the loyalist section were trying to be loud all gmae and i liked that they were trying to be original but at the same time i think thats our failing at times. By the time people work out what we're chanting we've stopped and started another.

I like the idea of certain traditional chants for certain things, i like the idea of words on the jumbotron and i like the idea of using the pa system at half time to introduce chants to people.

Perhaps if we chant something similar to:
"All we are saying,
Is give us a goal"

on every corner kick with the words on the jumbotron, and the pa at halftime getting people used to it. Then we could add a new chant each week.

It's great to see everyone excited about the chants and getting people (the stadium) invlovled.
So my next question, what are the next steps. I would assume a big issue would be spending money. Well I'm sure we could spread the word without spending a dime. Who's in good with the FO and can start diggin' at them for use of the jumbotron and perhaps some verbaige in the program? Also, a booth introducing the support groups would be a great idea.
Basically, what do we need to do next to get the ball (no pun intended) rolling?

Seeing who can cheer loudest at halftime isn't going to help the team all that much.

You only cheer for free stuff!

Well, I think its true that if we chant a new or more original chant no one catches on much before its over. When you guys were chanting that beatles song I didnt get more than a few words of it and then it stopped, and I was standing right next to you. So I think its good to mostly stick with just a few chants, at least for a while until ppl get those down. And its also good to use some of those certain chants at the same time of the game every game. So say...everytime we score the whole stadium will know to chant ole ole....when theres a corner kick they will know to cheer R S L (or whatever we decide). It takes ppl a while to catch on and sometimes its hard to understand what we are saying. I could tell that ppl were trying to understand what we were saying when we chanted Im blind Im deaf I wanna be a ref. Their heads sort of tilted like they were listening real hard. So, keep it simple for a while and let them catch on. It would be great if we (speaking as a loyalist member at the moment) could cordinate this with RCB.

As for the FO, I can try to convince them of doing something. I dont think it should be such a big deal (u never know with them) to get some words to some chants on the jumbotron. Gosh...they did it all the time at the MLB games I went to growing up. But they will need to know before hand what chant we will sing when! I dont know about the program though, that might be more difficult. What exactly would you guys want?

As for the booths, the Loyalists have had one for a while. I havent ever worked there. So, how is that going ladies (you know who u r)....do you get many ppl coming up and asking about the loyalists? For that matter do most ppl even know what the Loyalists are??? The face painting is great but maybe we need to be more open about inviting ppl over to our section and as mentioned earlier, making it clear that they dont have to be a member or pay anything to join us. (a sign at the corner that says...come join us?) We could print out some words to some chants to hand out pretty cheaply I would think, maybe the FO would even just make some copies for us...????

Thats my breath for the day...sorry.

Here's a cheap and easy idea for both groups: Why not print up chants on a half sheet of paper and pass them out to the nearby sections at the beginning of the game? I know the RCB already does a sheet, but unless I'm mistaken it's only passed out to RCB people.

That might get people feeling a little more involved and useful. Also it would allow people to chant without having to stand the whole game if that's what's keeping them from getting involved.

If somebody can make a bunch of copies I'll volunteer to put the sheet together.

I hate to seem like a killjoy, but I really haven't seen many original ideas in this thread. This has been rehashed over and over last year. Yes, the Loyalists have handed out chant sheets many times. Yes, they've considered talking to the front office about the jumbotron. Yes, they've debated the walkie talkie thing between groups. Yes, they've talked about having cheer leaders in front of the crowds. Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

If you guys are really excited about helping with this stuff, stop discussing it and DO SOMETHING. What can you do? That's easy--email and tell him you want to volunteer to help with the in-stadium atmosphere. He's the one in charge of all these ideas and he's working with different idea all the time. Funnel your creative energy his way and you'll be able to get a lot more done than just throwing out the same ideas over and over on this forum!

Are you volunteering to help? We can always use another voice to help us!! While face painting, its hard to talk to ppl about everything. That is why we are trying to have someone there to talk to ppl while we paint. Our main focus (in the booth) this year is help raise money for Kam's Kauses but we could always use another voice to help spread the word to ppl about joining us! That goes for everyone.....if anyone is interested in volunteering with ANYTHING (tailgates, booth, game day stuff), help is always welcome! Email or feel free to pm us!

I think you should consider these:

yeah, I get it, but how many times have you handed them out to people who aren't Loyalists? Giving chant sheets to Loyalists and RCB is a waste - they already know the chants! I'm saying give them to OTHER people.
